Tyler Shea Carbajal Obituary

On July 6, 2025, we lost Tyler Shea Carbajal of Great Meadows, New Jersey — just 19 years old. In front of others, he seemed so strong, but inside he was deeply sensitive, compassionate, and respectful to everyone he met. His sarcasm and quick wit were unrivaled — he always made others laugh, usually at his own expense.

He loved being part of the brotherhood of lacrosse and made many lifelong friends through this wonderful sport. His dedication was unmatched — he expected perfection in everything he did. From childhood, he excelled academically and most recently made the Dean’s List at Delaware Valley University. Physically, he pushed himself to the extreme, which as a freshman helped him start and play every lacrosse game at Del Val.

He loved lacrosse, music, fishing, riding bikes, reading books, starting and relaxing by a campfire, and spending countless hours in the gym. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends — playing cornhole, bottle bash, Legos — or time alone recharging his battery while playing Xbox and listening to a podcast. He loved the outdoors — making multiple trips to New York, deep sea fishing, vacationing, tubing, rafting, kayaking, snowboarding, cooking — he enjoyed the simple life. His tender soul loved the company of animals, which made working with the Happy Tails Inn Family a perfect match.

It fills us with joy to hear and see how many people he touched and brightened their world with his smile, laugh, wit, tenderness, and most of all, his love. Ty will never be forgotten by his surviving family: mother Danielle Morgan; step-father Brian Morgan; step-sister Kasey Gianni and her husband Mike Gianni; step-brother Tyler Morgan and his wife Shannon Morgan and their daughters Blake and Meadow Morgan; grandparents Larry and Mary Morgan; grandfather Anthony Zawadzinski; father Jose Carbajal and his wife Kelly Carbajal; step-brother Conner Decker; and grandfathers Jack Decker and Sirenio Carbajal.

We would like your last visit with Tyler to feel like a local gathering, so please feel free to dress casually or however you see fit. If you connected with Tyler through a sport, feel free to wear your jersey — make it about your connection to him. He would not want a stuffy environment.

We sincerely thank all of you who were a positive influence on Tyler, helping him stay here for the 19 years we were blessed to have him. Your time with him may have been brief, but if you knew him personally, you shared a smile and a laugh with him. Please keep him alive through the pictures, videos, or stories you shared. He is physically gone, but his precious soul is at peace now.

Services to celebrate Tyler’s life will be held on July 14, 2025, from 1–5 p.m. at The Chapel at Warren Valley: 384 NJ 57, Washington, NJ 07882
