Mary Joyce (Schroeder) Vernborg

Mary Joyce Vernborg of North Brunswick, NJ passed away peacefully on October 18, 2021 at St. Peters Medical Center.  She was 86 years old.  Born in Staten Island, NY, she was a longtime resident of North Brunswick.  She was employed by Personal Products, Milltown, NJ.  Mary Joyce was known for her kind and loving heart, thinking and giving to others with no thought of herself.  She was one of those rare people that would do without so that another could be happy.  Mary Joyce had a quick wit and made friends effortlessly.  She shared her faith and fellowship as a member of Grace Church in North Brunswick.  “She had an eye of an eagle, the roar of a lion, and a heart as big as a house.”  

Predeceased by her husband Robert Vernborg, beloved grandson Wyatt Vernborg, sister Dorothy Vorek, and brothers Robert, James, Kenneth, and Gerald Schroeder; Mary Joyce is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Mark and Cathy and Scott and Barbara, grandchildren Jason, Justin, Ashley, Matthew, and Jake Vernborg, and three great-grandchildren. 

Friends will be received Friday 3-7pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown.  The funeral service will be celebrated during the wake.
