Margareth Niven lived a full life for 97 years before peacefully passing on June 21, 2025. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, on June 16, 1928, she was a fiercely devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Marge cherished her family above all else. She leaves behind two sons, Glenn Giles and Norman Niven, and two daughters, Mary Jane Niven and Susan Niven. She also leaves behind five grandchildren; Summer Cassidy, Brooke Sorenson, Chelsea Bruno, John Niven and David Niven. Her eight great grandchildren, Jacob, Giles, Metta, Mia, Knox, Cash, Gerry, and Rory have lost a precious great grandmother.
Marge was the embodiment of independence. Especially strong-willed, smart, and hopelessly opinionated, she had a legendary passion for organization and orderliness. Funny and considerate to the extreme, she had an unusual knack for endearing herself to the many caregivers and aides that crossed her path during her final years in assisted living. Most often described as sweet and kind, she selflessly preoccupied herself with the needs of others. Whether it was painting, music, arts and crafts, or a simple sewing needle, Marge enthusiastically enjoyed the arts and making things
Although we know that she is finally at peace, she will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew her. Heaven has finally made room for her.
