Lawrence Donald Abrams Obituary
Lawrence Donald Abrams (Don), 68, of North Brunswick, NJ passed away on August 12, 2021. He was born in West Orange, NJ and moved to North Brunswick in 1986 where he and his wife Vicky raised their five children. He was a (mostly) gentle giant and a fiercely loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Mets, not as much as his family – though it was pretty close.
Prior to retirement, Don was employed by Campbell Supply Company as a Diesel Mechanic. In his spare time, he loved hitting the golf course, watching his beloved sports teams, and spending time with his family.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Abrams; his children, Carolyn Abrams of Brooklyn, NY, Larry (Theresa) Abrams of Millstone, NJ, James (Stacy) Abrams of Milltown, NJ, Kathryn (Timothy) Miller of Chesterfield, NJ, and Vanessa (Corrine) Abrams of Flemington, NJ; and his sisters Sherry (Doug) Jones of Paramus, NJ, Sheila (Bill) Roff of Monroe, NY, Mary (Bill) Mohr of Middletown, DE, Patti Abrams-Silva of Santa Rosa, CA, and Cathy (Brian) Shanley of Savannah, GA. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Annabelle, Brielle and Connor, and his 10 nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Rose and George Abrams.
Visitation will be on Monday August 16, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home, 152 N. Main Street, Milltown, NJ. The funeral will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church, 1730 US-130, North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
