John Anthony Capo Obituary

John Anthony Capo was the son of Giovanni and Rose Capo.   His parents were
both born in Salerno, Italy. John grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey. He attended St.
Peters College and NYU where he obtained an MBA. John was a veteran during the
Korean war and served in Germany representing his country. He raised his family in
Milltown, New Jersey. His children include John Thomas, Elizabeth Mary, Matthew
Joseph, and Steven Thomas Moore. He was a proud father, who attended many of his
kids’ sporting events. His wife, Joan was a nurse at St. Peters Hospital. She is still with
us. They had many family, gatherings and social events at their house in Milltown. He
was a lover of the beach, a great fan of track and field, and attended mass at St.
Bartholomew’s in East Brunswick regularly.   He was fortunate to have 10 grandchildren:
Joseph, Nico, Lucca, David, Jessica, Bernadette, Shannon, Steven, Vincent, and
Jackie. He was a wonderful grandfather who spent many hours with his grandchildren.
Through his hard work as a salesman, he was able to provide everything his family
needed, but his role as father and gracious leader of the family was his primary goal.
John had a wonderful sister, Dorothy, who lived in Texas. She had two loving children,
Regina and David. John was known as “Uncle Jackie” to them. He worked for
General Electric for over 35 years. Much of his work life was spent in New York City. He
will be sorely missed by his family and friends, and will always be forever in our hearts.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Bronson and McNamara Mermorial Home of Milltown, NJ. The funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10:00am at St. Bartholomew RC Church, East Brunswick, NJ. Final disposition is private.
