Harjeet Kaur Virdi passed away on July 4, 2020 after suffering a long health battle. She was born March 22, 1954 to Jaswinder Kaur and Sardar Amolak Singh.  She was married to Narinder Singh Virdi in 1972.  Narinder Singh Virdi passed away in 1995.

Harjeet or 'Rano' as she was known to her family and friends was a beloved friend, sister, mother and grandmother.  Her love, dedication and generousity to all who knew her was beautiful and exemplary.  She treasured her sons, Mickey and Jasbir, and her whole family.  After her husband passed away at a young age, she played the roles of Mother and Father to her sons.  She embraced the challenges she was faced with strength and sincerity.  She was a kind-hearted inspiration to all who knew her, especially to her sons who knew that heroes do not come any stronger than her.  She was a cherished and adored grandmother or 'dadi' to her grandchildren and a loving and very devoted mother to her two sons and her daughters-in-law.
Though her health was failing for years, her love for her family and friends and the happiness she gave to others kept her alive.  She inspired her sons to embrace life's challenges and to always be positive.
Harjeet is survived by her family, Jasbir, Hardeep, Mickey and Anjana and her five grandsons, Milan, Tanvir, Devin, Avir and Jaivan.
