Gordon F. Comstock of North Brunswick, NJ passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2024 with his loving family by his side. He was 84 years old. Gordon grew up in Barryville, NY and moved to New Jersey in 1964 after marrying his beloved Joan. Gordon and his future bride serendipitously met in Paris while he was stationed there as a member of the US Army. Gordon served his state and community when he joined the NJ State Police in 1969, serving with Troop C.
Gordon loved camping, family parties, and vacations, particularly to Arizona. He was a fan of the NY football Giants, Army Football, Rangers, Dodgers, and Knicks. Gordon had a particular way of seeing the bright side of life; he made light of everything and joked often.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife Joan; daughters and sons-in-law Susan and Charles Hansen of Manchester, NJ and Donna and David Namendorf of Pequannock, NJ; grandchildren: Heather Messina, Paul Messina, Daniel Namendorf, Michael Namendorf; and great-granddaughter Aleena.
Family and friends will be received Friday 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Bronson and McNamara Memorial Home. The funeral service will be celebrated Friday evening. Final disposition is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Jersey State Police Survivors of the Triangle C.O.P.S. Chapter https://survivorsofthetriangle.org/about/
