Federica (Griseri) Selvaggio

Federica Selvaggio of Grand Prairie, TX, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Methodist Memorial Hospital in Mansfield, TX.  Born in Mondovi, Italy, she came to the United States to be with her husband Carmelo in 1962 and later resided in New York City and Piscataway before moving to Grand Prairie.

Federica worked for AT&T for many years before retiring in 1988.  She enjoyed the mountains and being with her family and was a devote wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all her knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years Carmelo Selvaggio in 2012; her parents, Michele and Maria Griseri; and her sisters Michelina (Nene) Giaccardi and Virginia (Chica) Canis.  Federica is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Marina and Larry Aleshire of Grand Prairie, TX; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Sue Ann Selvaggio of Lavallette, NJ; two cherished grandchildren Jason (Sabrina) Selvaggio of North Brunswick and Alyssa (Christopher) Young of Warminster, PA; brother Gianni Griseri, brother-in-law Vanni Canis, a niece and three nephews in Italy; brother-in-law Elio Selvaggio and wife Stella of Piscataway, NJ, niece Aurora Selvaggio and Marcus Edwards, and their daughter Callie of Bordentown, NJ.

Family and friends will be received Sunday 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Bronson and McNamara Memorial Home of Milltown, NJ.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10:00am at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, North Brunswick, NJ followed by entombment at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway, NJ.
