Ernest R. Csobor, Sr. of Galloway, NJ (formerly of North Brunswick, NJ)

passed away on December 29, 2023.  He was 86 years old.  Born in New Brunswick, NJ, Ernie resided in North Brunswick for many years before relocating to Ocean County and then Atlantic County.  He was drafted and honorably discharged by the United States Army, where he was stationed in Ft. Benning, GA in 1960.  Ernie was employed as a phone line repairman by NJ Bell (Verizon) until his retirement.  He enjoyed hunting, watching war movies and westerns, and enjoyed following his favorite teams the NY Yankees and NY Giants.  Above all, Ernie was a devoted husband and father.

Predeceased by his loving wife Heather in 1994, Ernie is survived by son Ernest R. Csobor II, son and daughter-in-law David J. and Jodi Csobor, and daughter and son-in-law Cynthia J. and Tom Behring; three grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received Friday, January 5, 2024 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ.  The funeral service will be celebrated Friday 1:00pm at the funeral home followed by burial at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
