Edsel Rosel, aged 54, passed away on August 11, 2024 in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  Edsel was born on December 27, 1969, in Cebu City, Philippines to Virgilio Rosel and O’ Clarina Gamelo Rosel.  

Edsel was a Senior Engineer at Weill Cornell Medical College for 25 years. He was a respected member of his profession and known for his intellect and humor. Throughout his career, he was known for his diligence, dedication, and passion for helping others. Edsel enlisted in the Navy, and separated in 1996 (EAOS) in which he served as a Ship Inertial Navigation System Technician.

But more than anything, Edsel was a devoted husband and father. He loved spending time with his wife, and children. He enjoyed sharing stories, traveling and cooking for his family.  Edsel’s generosity and charisma enlightened our lives and no matter what challenges we faced he was always there for guidance, support and encouragement.

In his free time, Edsel was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others. He had the ability to make anyone smile with his witty sense of humor. He was unselfish and always ready to lend a helping hand to those around him.  He was passionate about giving back and loved donating to various charities.

Edsel Rosel is survived by his loving wife, Veronica Rosel, his children, Jocelyn and Elisia Rosel, and his siblings, Elmer, Roselynn and Erwin Rosel.  Edsel is predeceased by his parents, Virgilio Rosel and O' Clarina Gamelo Rosel. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through his family, friends, and colleagues.  

Family and friends will be received Friday 3:00pm – 7:00pm at the Bronson and McNamara Memorial Home of Milltown, NJ.  The funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday 10:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Milltown followed by entombment at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
