Andrew (Andy) Joseph Watt, 44, of North Brunswick, NJ, passed away on March 25, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him, both family and friends. Andy was born to Ginger and Ken Watt on August 18, 1981, in Boonton, NJ.
Andy grew up in Rockaway, NJ and attended Rowan University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine and Performing Arts. He was a proud member of the Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity, the Alpha Psi Omega Honor Society, and was President of the Campus Players Club. Andy went on to excel in the hospitality and customer service industry and also found great joy in teaching line dancing whenever and wherever he had the chance. Andy maintained a great love for acting and the arts, and enjoyed music and performing.
He was a devoted and beloved partner, son, brother and friend. He is survived by his partner, Mark Vogler, mother Ginger, and sister Allyson. He was preceded in death by his father Ken Watt.
Andy will be remembered for his profound kindness, infectious sense of humor, and generous soul. He had a passion for sports, music, movies and games, and he especially loved to line dance, attending many dance conferences and events over the years. For all of us “line-dancers,” Andy will be forever with us through every “8 count” we perform. Those who knew him will always remember his passion for life and his mega-watt smile. He had many fun and silly traditions like listening to every song in his music library in alphabetical order, even the ones he didn’t like, just because it was tradition. He also had his catch phrases like “Do it!…You won’t” or “Oh Girl,” which will be forever embedded in our memories. No matter where Andy went, he found his people. His sense of humor and wit defined him, but most importantly, Andy was kind and thoughtful and had a warmth about him that will never be replaced.
Andy’s family wishes to thank Dr. Gutowski and Dr. Bakalov of MD Anderson Cooper for their support and care.
